Assessing the Skills of the 21st Century

  1. In an age where test scores seem to be the focus of just about everything in education, we assess the main core disciplines to see if students have mastered the content.  But, in an age where we are starting to push for more 21st century skills in our classroom, how do we assess whether students have mastered them?  Is there one perfect type of assessment where we will know whether we have accomplished the goals set for our students?  What kind of criteria do we need to set for them to consider the basic skills mastered?
