Reading Phaedrus today reinforced what I believe too that very little has changed in terms of who is receiving the most attention and who is not.  While reading the introduction to the Soloman book I did notice that he mentions one of the major contributions to the Digital Divide is the poverty gap among our students.  Back in the day, our school district was considered middle class and received some technology and funding, but nothing like what Prairie Schools are receiving.   Reading the tuition rates my first thought was “That’s more than what I pay in a year here for tuition!”  With funding like that coming from several students its not very shocking to me that they are using much better facilities and being involved in a lot of different activities of a higher caliber.  With all of that money it does not surprise in the least to hear on the news two high school students from that school system discovering a asteroid.  Congratualtions to those two students on their discovery, but another discovery, which has already been made several times in the past,  can be found here as well.
