Virtual Hangouts

It seems that students today are hanging out on myspace and facebook in there own virtual hangouts where they can interact with one another like they would if they were hanging out at a friend’s house.  While some may question the appropriateness of these virtual hangouts, I think that not all students are engaging in actions that are deemed horrible by adult figures.  When students gather around in a group, the first thought that comes to an adult’s mind is they are up to no good.  However, they could be engaging in conversation or playing a game of some sort.  The point is that we may need to have a little more faith in our kids in these hangouts, but keep an eye open for any problems that may arise.
