We ARE Unprepared for the Future

I came across this comic in my aggregator discussing 21st century issues.  It demonstrates how unprepared we are collectively when it comes to 21st century learning issues.  The group students we get each year changes little by little and now some educators are having trouble relating to students because they have changed so much.  As the comic demonstrates, the man who is interested in 21st century problems is seven years behind.  It makes me wonder whether school districts or the national government were anticipating any of the issues at all.
