Scholarship Offered to Students for Talking About Sex
This isn’t really about research, but I found this article on PBS and I thought it was interesting. In preparation for a conference entitled Sex::Tech Conference on youth, HIV prevention, and the Internet, there is a video contest called The Fresh Focus Video Contest. In this contest, students are encouraged to make a video about what sex is so interesting and sex education is so boring. This has allowed students the opportunity to be honest, bold, and free to talk about their own sexual eduction and sexual experience. The producer of the winning video will receive a $3,500 college scholarship. This is a wonderful opportunity to improve sexual education with the Internet by letting the students take the reins and at the same time help someone pay for college.
